Intertwined Grieve
2023
"Intertwined Grieve" is a deeply symbolic artwork that captures the profound sense of loss experienced with the passing of the artist's twin sister. This piece utilizes structured paste to create a three-dimensional representation of the void left behind—a hole that cannot be filled, emphasizing the irreplaceable nature of the bond between twins. The black textured surface, swirling and enveloping, symbolizes the overwhelming grief that is too intense for words.
Suspended from the canvas by leftover ropes of a former art project, this artwork extends beyond traditional boundaries, representing the unbreakable twin connection that transcends even death. The ropes not only depict the enduring link between the siblings but also suggest a continual, though altered, relationship. It speaks to the unique and profound sorrow known only to twins, expressing the inexpressible and making visible the invisible agony of loss.

Ribboned Reflections
2023
"Ribboned Reflections" is an artwork that delves into the themes of memory and the enduring nature of human relationships. This piece combines braided ropes from former gifts and interlaced ribbons against a backdrop of muted, washed-out colors, creating a sense of depth. The artwork is rich in texture, with each intertwined ribbon and knot representing the complex web of our interactions and the ties that bind us to our personal histories.
The varied textures and materials symbolize the diversity of life's experiences, while the gentle flow of the ribbons suggests a soft recounting of past stories and emotions. The frayed edges and loose ends of the ribbons evoke a poignant sense of time passing and experiences fading, yet the overall structure remains intact, signifying the resilience of connections formed over time.
It is a tribute to the subtle yet powerful forces that shape our lives, reminding us of the beauty and complexity found in the intertwined stories we share.
